Maine Wire Editor-in-Chief joined Steven K. Bannon’s The War Room Thursday night to discuss the latest breaking news in Maine’s ongoing fight against Asian Transnational Criminal Organizations that are operating illegal marijuana farms throughout rural Maine.
WATCH:
In case you missed it:
Thursday morning, the Machias Police Department, following a month-long investigation into a Washington County property at 414 E. Kennebec Road, obtained a warrant to search the premises of that property.
The search turned up more than 2,600 live marijuana plants and 100 pounds of processed cannabis plants. Under ideal conditions, an indoor grower can produce a pound or more of processed flower per plant. So you’re looking at 2,700 to 3,000 lbs of marijuana confiscated. Or, as the Machias PD described it, 3-4 dump trucks’ worth.
Arrested at the site were the following individuals, who are not believed to be U.S. citizens:
- Ming Li, 52, of Machias
- Dong Yang, 60, of Brooklyn, NYC
- Peng Yuphang, 61, of Machias
