Who in Maine is being paid off?
Quotonic bank.(NY?) Assisting criminals purchasing properties in Maine, purchasers from all over US? Banking crimes across State boundaries? Evading Taxation in Maine? Federally (and in these other states where they are claiming dubious residency) its still a crime to grow and export Marijuana. Where are the vaunted FBI and IRS? Claiming “asylum” to evade prosecution? No reason to grant “asylum” status. Every reason to deny & deport.
How did these 31 manage to be here? Swim?
We will sure be interested in the results trial and what happens to the land the grow house were on.
What about the ermainig grow houses? Have the been raided?
Show all their faces…expose these Chinese enemies!
My mom reads the paper every day and watches the news and knew nothing about Triad …Somethings FISHY!!!! Thanks MaineWire!!!
Cannabis is just stinky and obvious. It covers up the smell of crack, meth and fentanyl variants. Not true in every case, of course. A percentage of them are just a symptom of the old adage, ‘Nobody ever got rich selling cannabis’ A lot of Massachusetts folks bought the first fifty Maine state marijuana licenses, and were disappointed with the low profit. Like most working folks, whether police or doctors or lawyers or sanitation workers, real estate is the best bet to making more money at relatively low risk. Once any property is found to be a grow house, value goes down. Who wouldn’t mind buying such a place? A disgruntled cannabis staff who’ve learned the hard way that the old adage is true.
