A month-long joint investigation between the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA) and the Portland Police has led to the arrest of a Portland man on multiple counts of drug trafficking charges and the seizure of more than 100 grams of fentanyl.
James Ferrar, 30, of Portland, was arrested without incident Thursday afternoon on three counts of unlawful trafficking in schedule W drugs as he allegedly delivered fentanyl to an undercover agent in the west end of Portland, MDEA said in a press release.
MDEA and Portland Police have been investigating Ferrar for the past month as he allegedly distributed fentanyl throughout the west end area of Portland, the agency said.
According to MDEA, agents conducted multiple undercover purchases of fentanyl directly from Ferrar during the course of the investigation.
A subsequent search of Ferrar’s Portland apartment, located at 252 Vaughn St., resulted in the seizure of more than 100 grams of fentanyl, digital scales, packaging materials, and other paraphernalia associated with illegal drug trafficking.
MDEA said the estimated street value of the seized fentanyl is $10,000.
Ferrar was taken to the Cumberland County Jail where his bail was set at $1,000.
If the Bidens Boarder was shut fenytal would be gone Pengree, Angus, and Sue. Do not move your lips now.
Let’s see. We have millions flooding our southern border with drugs, sex trafficking, property destruction etc etc and they nail one guy in Maine. At least he looks like a Mainah. Did you see that picture of the huge amount of drug they nabbed? Impressive. It took them a whole month to get him. Between MDEA and the Portland police they probably spent half a million to get 10k. They are on their game. I feel so much safer.
