CNN political analyst and former U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.), who proudly describes himself on X as Republican in name only (RINO) while claiming to be a conservative, announced on Wednesday that he is endorsing Democratic President Joe Biden in his re-election bid.

“I’m a proud conservative, I always have been. As a proud conservative, I’ve always put democracy and our constitution above all else, and it’s because of my unwavering support for democracy that today, as a proud conservative, I’m endorsing Joe Biden for re-election,” said Kinzinger in a video posted on X.
Despite claiming to be a proud conservative, three times within the first 15 seconds of the video, Kinzinger nevertheless parroted typical progressive talking points about former Republican President Donald Trump posing a “threat to democracy.”
As an allegedly proud conservative, Kinzinger has, very proudly, endorsed a president who has persecuted pro-lifers, sent billions of dollars to fund foreign wars while opening the American borders to unvetted illegal immigrants, advocated for irreversible transgender surgeries for children, and pushed for legally mandated experimental medical treatments for millions of Americans.
“Donald Trump poses a direct threat to every fundamental American value. He doesn’t care about our country, he doesn’t care about you, he only cares about himself. And he’ll hurt anyone or anything in pursuit of power,” said Kinzinger “Now’s the time to unite behind Joe Biden and show Donald Trump off the stage once and for all.”
In his video, Kinzinger focused on the January 6 protests and other common liberal media talking points against Trump.
Kinzinger’s message is unlikely to sway many Republican or independent voters.
After his brief and unmemorable congressional career, Kinzinger rapidly lost standing among Republicans and conservatives, especially after he renounced the positions that once got him elected in pursuit of a gig on the left-wing CNN.
The social media reaction to Kinzinger’s announcement was almost universally one of mockery and sarcasm, with many users questioning whether Kinzinger was being blackmailed into endorsing positions completely opposite from what he campaigned on has a former congressional candidate.
According to the latest Real Clear Politics average of general election voters nationwide, Trump leads Biden 46.5 to 45.2.
“Oh look, Kinzinger finally came out of the closet. As usual, we knew all along, so not a surprise and none of us care,” said Rep. Marjorie Greene (R-Ga.) in response to the announcement.
Kinzinger previously condemned Rep. Greene for hanging a sign stating “there are only two genders” outside her office. He also voted in favor of Differed Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), which has allowed thousands of illegal immigrants to remain in the U.S. with no fear of deportation.
In 2022, he was one of only three Republicans to vote in favor of the Ensuring Access to Abortion Act and has consistently supported giving increasing levels of military aid to Ukraine.
😥😢😭Oh poor little crybaby Kizinger… Here’s some words for you. We. Don’t. Care.
