Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign is continuing its attempts to appeal to video game enthusiasts, this time announcing on Monday a Vice President Harris-themed map in Fortnite that will ban in-game guns.

The Official Team Kamala published a video on Monday announcing its map in the popular “battle royale” style game that usually has players face off in large-scale battles with guns and other weapons.
The announcement video features music from rapper Megan Thee Stallion and asks voters to “squad up, go vote.”
Nearly three hours after the original post, the Harris-Walz campaign made another post clarifying that Fortnite’s developer, Epic Games, has in no way endorsed the campaign, and informed voters that the game developer played no role in their map.
“This is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Epic Games, Inc,” said Official Team Kamala on X.
X users were quick to point out that the Harris-Walz Fortnite map appears to violate the game’s official policy regarding third-party created maps.
“Your island and your island’s metadata must not include (a) calls to action outside Fortnite, (b) solicitation to join, participate in, or donate to a real-world religion, political organization or military organization,” say the official rules for third-party creators.
The Fortnite map, Freedom Town, USA, features numerous in-game Harris ads and will not allow players to use guns, one of the key features of the game.
According to a report from Newsweek, the map asks players to participate in various Harris-themed activities, including collecting flyers for a Harris rally and finding tools to build new businesses made possible by Harris’s proposed $50,000 tax breaks on small businesses.
The Fortnite map is an attempt to draw support from younger people, who make up the majority of the game’s player base, with 63 percent of players being between the ages of 18 and 25.
The map does not appear to be drawing in droves of players, with an all-time peak concurrent player count of only 563.
This is not the first time the Harris campaign has tried to use video games to draw support from young voters.
Earlier this month, the Harris campaign partnered with World of Warcraft live streamer Preheat to stream the game and provide commentary during a campaign rally for Vice Presidential Nominee Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn).
The stream featured stereotypical gamer slang and speculations that Walz would be a “happy warrior” if he were to play the game.
Just this Sunday, Walz joined Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-New York) for a live stream of the football video game Madden NFL 25.
Throughout the stream, the two discussed a variety of political issues.
Their competition ended with a 0-0 tie, and drew fewer than 13,000 live viewers.
All three of the Harris campaign’s forays into gaming have led to widespread online mockery, and it remains to be seen whether they will draw support from younger voters.
AOC wouldn’t know a football if she held it in her hands .
Walz is a certified KNUCKLEHEAD. Kamala is a slut who worked her way to the top while ON HER KNEES… with the IQ of a fence post. 200,000 children trafficked for sex. Think about that every time you see one of those evils Harris/Walz signs in front of someone’s house. They obviously condone child sex slavery.
Funny, I see Hollywood go full bore political now. Arnold, kimmel, bruce and on.. Doesn’t it seem odd that these are the same names on the epstein flight logs? So now it makes perfect sense, they’d say anything to stay out of prison. Jokes on them, assuming the fbi doesn’t go scorched earth after the election.
Boxcar, no it is 325000 Kids missing. and you can thank all the DEMOCRATES and NGO’s like the lead of woman voters
I wanted to chime in here as a spectator of the gaming world and add my two cents into this because I have honestly heard that this game so far has actually bombed Big time and it’s probably because it was made very poorly, not to mention I’ve also heard that it has also broken some *Tos* guideline rules as well
