President Joe Biden doubled down on insulting former President Donald Trump’s supporters in Pennsylvania on Saturday after going viral for referring to them as “garbage.”
“These are the kind of guys you’d like to smack in the ass,” said President Biden, referring to “Trump and his Republican friends.”
Biden used his speech to criticize President Trump for allowing tax cuts for the wealthy, before devolving into semi-coherent insults and an attempt to draw support by recalling his time in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
“Now, I know some of you guys are tempted to think it’s macho guys. But I tell you what, man, when I lived in Scranton, I said, you remember we used to have a little trouble going down to The Plot once in a while? Green Ridge. But I’m serious,” said Biden.
Trump quickly turned Biden’s “garbage” comment against him, using it as a rallying cry for Republicans, riding in a garbage truck and wearing a safety vest during a rally.
Biden’s latest insult, coming just three days before the election, has convinced some that he is intentionally sabotaging Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign in revenge against the party that ousted him as their nominee.
“He’s intentionally trying to hurt Harris and no one can convince me differently at this point,” said Meghan McCain on X.
It remains unclear if Biden’s comment will drive more Democrats to the Pennsylvania polls or inspire more Republicans to get out and vote to protect their asses from Biden.
