New details have emerged about Ronald Joseph, 43, the illegal Haitian immigrant, who allegedly raped and impregnated his 14-year-old daughter while living at an illegal immigrant shelter in Marlborough, Massachusetts, including an earlier pregnancy and a forced abortion, in a shocking story broken last year by The Maine Wire.
Joseph was finally arrested eight months after The Maine Wire first reported on his alleged crimes. Last week, Massachusetts independent journalist Jessica Machado published official court documents from Joseph’s dangerousness hearing, also known as a 58A hearing in the Commonwealth, which is held to determine whether a defendant should be detained until trial. These documents revealed even more horrific details about the alleged crimes.
The dangerousness hearing demonstrated that Joseph and his daughter have been in the U.S., living off Massachusetts taxpayers in Gov. Maura Healey’s (D-Mass.) illegal immigrant hotels since September 2023. They were first housed in the Best Western Hotel in Marlborough, Massachusetts.
In October 2023, they were transferred to the Holiday Inn in Marlborough for an unspecified reason, where they remained until Joseph’s alleged crimes were revealed in early May 2024.
While the court document goes on to say that Joseph was removed from the shelter in May 2023, that appears to be an error, as it would contradict the previously listed dates of his stay in the shelter. Documents previously reviewed by The Maine Wire showed that Joseph was only removed in May 2024, not May 2023.
In April 2024, shelter employees and workers at the school Joseph’s daughter attended became concerned on learning that she had become pregnant.
The child initially denied that her father had impregnated her, but a text message from the child to a third party confirmed that her father had allegedly taken her virginity and committed incest.
The message revealed that not only had her father allegedly impregnated her while they stayed at taxpayer-funded shelters, but that it was her second pregnancy by her father. The first pregnancy had allegedly begun while the girl was just 12 or 13 years of age, and about a year before Joseph’s alleged monstrous crimes were revealed. He then reportedly forced his daughter to have an abortion.
After what appears to be the second pregnancy was discovered, authorities removed Joseph’s daughter from his custody and transferred Joseph, by a taxpayer-funded Lyft ride, to a different shelter in Worcester, Mass.
He was not arrested for another eight months and was allowed to remain at large, and the documents did nothing to explain that delay.
The dangerousness hearing documents claimed that Joseph was transferred to a shelter where he could not be around other women or children, though The Maine Wire previously found that the Queen Street Shelter, where he was transferred, also housed women.
The documents detailed a subsequent investigation that took place after Joseph’s daughter was taken into state custody.
The investigation found that Joseph allegedly began raping his daughter while in Brazil, shortly after leaving Haiti, and the abuse reportedly continued until she was removed from his custody.
The young girl reportedly demonstrated a very limited understanding of sexual acts and claimed that she would sometimes black out while allegedly being raped by her father. The girl attributed the blackouts to her asthma. She told investigators that her father had chosen her over all the women in the shelter, including his girlfriend.
Investigators conducted an ultrasound that confirmed the girl became pregnant while staying at the taxpayer-funded shelter.
The girl had the baby, and after the baby was born, a DNA test allegedly revealed that Joseph was the biological father of both the victim and her baby.
The document argues that Joseph should be detained while awaiting trial because he demonstrated an ability to manipulate and groom young girls and because he became violent when his daughter was initially removed from his custody.
The report also pointed out that, despite losing custody of his daughter, Joseph allegedly kept her IDs, which were discovered on him when he was arrested.
The prosecution warned that the defendant has ties to Indiana and Florida and could try to flee if he is released.
The petition was granted, and Joseph was declared too dangerous to be eligible for release while awaiting his trial.
According to reporting from Machado, Joseph was originally scheduled for a hearing on Friday in the Marlborough District Court, but his case had quietly been transferred to the Woburn Superior Court after his February 7 dangerousness hearing, with no date set for the next court appearance.
Of course no democrats are shocked or even surprised, all according to plan. Gotta keep those abortion clinics at full speed to keep the funding coming in no mater the cost.
