“The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.” – Wayne LaPierre, NRA

Today, thanks to two brave bystanders who were legally packing heat, Augusta police were able to arrest four herion dealers, three of which were from New York, after they exchanged gunfire between their vehicles in the Walmart parking lot in Augusta.

The suspects were parked beside each other and opened fire from within their vehicles during an altercation. When the shooting stopped and one of the suspects exited their vehicle to confront the occupants in the other vehicle, two law-abiding citizens put a halt to the incident before it was able to escalate further.

When the smoke settled, only one of the men involved in the shooting, Kwiesha “Reggie” McBride of Harlem, New York was injured.

The suspects and charges are as follows:

  • Kwiesha “Reggie” McBride of Harlem, New York was charged with Class C reckless conduct with a firearm and Class B aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs (heroin). His bail has been set at $50,000.
  • Frankie Dejesus of Rochester, New York was charged with Class C reckless conduct with a firearm and Class B aggravated assault. His bail has been set at $25,000.
  • Diana Davis of Rochester, New York was charged with Class B aggravated assault. Her bail has been set at $5,000.
  • Samantha Tupper of Augusta was charged with violating her probation and Class B furnishing of schedule W drugs (heroin). She is being held without bail.
