A Kennebunkport man was arrested for the second time in recent months Saturday in Atlanta following a terror campaign against police officers and local businesses.
Francis M. Carroll, 22, was charged with Domestic Terrorism, 1st Degree Arson, Rioting, Obstructing Law Enforcement Officers by Use of Threats or Violence, among other charges, according to booking documents.
Five other Antifa terrorists were arrested along with Carroll in a series of violent attacks that saw several businesses vandalized.
Earlier in the week, an Antifa terrorist who was part of Carroll’s camp outside Atlanta shot a Georgia State Trooper. Manuel Esteban Paez Terán, aka “Tortuguita,” hit the trooper in the pelvis, and he was killed when officers returned fire. The demonstrations this weekend appeared to motivated by retribution for the death of “Tort.”
Carroll had previously been arrested in December on similar charges following his participation in an Antifa-organized “autonomous zone” outside of Atlanta. The zone has become a de facto squatters’ village for angry left-wing extremists who oppose the creation of the Atlanta Public Safety Training Center.
Following that arrest, the Daily Mail revealed that Carroll comes from an immensely wealthy Maine family. His father is reportedly Dr. Mike Carroll, a general surgeon at Maine Medical Center.
