Former Portland Mayor and active member of the Maine Democratic Socialists of America (Maine DSA) Ethan Strimling has hired a progressive public relations firm to capitalize on a complaint he filed with Maine’s Secretary of State concerning former President Donald Trump’s ballot eligibility.
Strimling has previously endeavored to raise money on the news surrounding his complaint for a non-profit that mostly pays consulting fees to the socialist former mayor.
But now he’s looking to garner invitations for interviews with newspapers and television media, according to a copy of the pitch his new PR firm is sending around.

Strimling, alongside two co-petitioners, filed a challenge with Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows contesting the former president’s eligibility for office under Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution — the “insurrectionist clause.”
On Dec. 28, 2023, Bellows made the decision to bar Trump from the ballot, arguing that the events of Jan. 6, 2021 at the Capitol Building constituted an insurrection against the United States which Trump incited.
Earlier this month the Maine Wire reported on how less than a decade ago, Shenna Bellows worked for Strimling at Learning Works, a Portland-based taxpayer-funded non-profit organization founded by Strimling.

Following Bellows’ decision, Strimling embraced the media spotlight, joining MSNBC anchor and former Barack Obama cabinet member Julian Castro to discuss the decision.
The Maine Superior Court ruled Wednesday that Bellows must revisit her decision to bar Trump from the state’s primary ballot pending the opinion of the U.S. Supreme Court on a similar case out of Colorado — meaning the former commander-in-chief will not be removed from the ballot unless or until the Supreme Court rules otherwise.
After the Maine Superior Court’s ruling, an email was sent to media outlets from a representative of the progressive PR firm Unbendable Media, pitching an interview with the former Portland Mayor.
According to his LinkedIn profile, the author of the email, Jordan Wilhelmi, who is the director of media public relations at Unbendable Media, previously worked as an intern for Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) and as a communications associate at the left-wing media watchdog group Media Matters for America.
The founder of Unbendable Media, Brett Adams, was previously the senior director of media relations at the FitzGibbon Media, another progressive PR firm that closed in 2015 after its founder Trevor FitzGibbon was accused of sexual misconduct.
Nice pic of Strimling, a young jewish lad from NYC, in a pink shirt. He looks to be groping for fifteen minutes of fame, or of infamy.
Maine DSA another made up name for communists, but then I know at least one of the supposed groups is George Soros financed, you know the unindicted nazi that made his start turning in his neighbors then taking their valuables after the nazis dragged them off! A really great bunch of evil anti-American scum.
