Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee for the 2024 presidential election, has cribbed yet another policy proposal from her Republican opponents’ campaign.
This time Sen. J.D. Vance’s (R-Ohio) proposal for increased child tax credits.

During a recent interview on CBS, Sen. Vance revealed that, if he becomes vice president alongside former President Donald Trump, he would like to work with congress to increase child tax credits to $5,000, as U.S. birthrates plummet, in part due to economic concerns.
“I’d love to see a child tax credit that’s $5,000 per child. But you, of course, have to work with Congress to see how possible and viable that is,” said Vance. “President Trump has been on the record for a long time supporting a bigger child tax credit, and I think you want it to apply to all American families.”
Left-wing media initially scoffed at the idea that childless adults ought to subsidize tax credits for adults who rear children, with outlets like Mother Jones criticizing Vance for taking aim at so-called “childless cat ladies.”
However, Vice President Harris, just days later, has seemingly tried to one-up Vance when it comes to making childless adults shoulder a bigger tax burden than adults with children by proposing a $6,000 tax credit.
According to Axios, Harris’ proposal would only provide the $6,000 credit in the first year of a child’s life and would then reduce to the $3,600-$3,000 level of the 2021 expanded credit, which was part of the COVID-era American Rescue Plan.
Unlike Harris’s proposal, Vance’s tax credit would remain throughout a child’s time as a dependent.
Just days before Harris repackaged Vance’s proposal as her own, she did the same thing with a proposal from President Trump, copying his plan to end income tax on tips without even acknowledging that Trump was the first to float the idea.

As with the child tax credits, the mainstream media outlets initially criticized the idea; however, the same outlets rapidly changed their reporting when Harris proposed the exact same idea as her own.
Harris’s proposal marked a reversal from a Biden-Harris administration policy intended to make it easier for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to track and tax tip income.
Along with copying some economic policies from her Republican opponents, Harris has announced her support for communist-style price controls aimed at grocery stores.
Although Harris blamed grocery store prices on “corporate greed,” the move was largely seen as a political effort to shift blame for sky-high inflation witnessed under the Biden-Harris Administration to the private sector. Even the Washington Post editorial board panned the scheme with the unusually snarky headline, “When your opponent calls you ‘communist,’ maybe don’t propose price controls?”
Her price control proposal also came with a plan to give every first-time homebuyer $25,000 towards their down payment, which, in addition to costing untold billions in taxpayer money, has the potential to increase housing costs — by about $25,000 per house.
Funny you don’t hear Trump or Vance trying to copy pedo Joe’s plan on bailing out college students loans because everyone knows it’s blatantly asinine voter pandering. Trump and Vance’s proposals make sense that’s why she’s taking it and trying to sell it to the ignoramuses who will vote for the kneeling orally gifted buffoon.
